Merendero Ayo, is a beach restaurant with sandy floor and lots of palm trees around, offering to the visitant a perfect break from the sunny beach. It is located on Playa Burriana, Nerja, at aproximately 58 km from Malaga city centre (45 minutes). Playa Burriana, by the way, is an amazing white sandy beach that worth a full day visit. Merendero Ayo is famous for its ?all you can eat? Paella, prepared in massive pans over wood fire. To be honest, it is a quite basic Paella in terms of ingredients, but very tasty indeed. And if you mix it with the plus of the atmosphere, it will end up as an amazing plate. Also, for those who fancy a different option, Ayo offers large variety of fish, meats, a quite good Spanish omelette, salads and the typical Spanish tapas . The price it would be around 15 Euros per person, with food and drink.

If you are visiting Merendero Ayo during high season and peak hours, be prepare for wait around 10 minutes to be given a table and a bit more noisy and messy atmosphere in between the waitress, shouting the orders and running around with the plates. But believe me, the experience will worth it.

If you like it more quiet don't panic, because you don't need to go during the high season, Merendero Ayo is open all year long, from 9:00 to 0:00 hours.
