This shopping center, which was opened in 1993, is an open and spacious mall where you can find an infinite variety of shops, restaurants, cafes and entertainment options (cinema, bowling alley…)
Plaza Mayor was extended in 2021, opening a luxury outlet area that has a great number of the best clothing brands worldwide with excellent discounts.
It’s very accessible by car thanks to its proximity to the A-1 highway, but also by train from Malaga center, Torremolinos or Fuengirola.

How to get to Plaza Mayor?
As we said, you can easily get to this shopping center both by car or public transport. It’s located in Malaga outskirts, right next to Ikea Malaga and Guadalmar industrial area.
If you are interested in getting there, you can do it by:

If you’re coming from Malaga, the easiest way is through A-1 highway, and through MA-21 if you come from Marbella or Cádiz.
It’s very easy to park as it has more that 4000 parking spots, totally free!
???? BUS
There are three buses that you can take to arrive at this destination:
- Line 10: Málaga - Churriana
- Line M-136: Cártama-Alhaurín de la Torre
- Line M-123: Churriana-Torremolinos-Benalmádena.

???? TRAIN
This is my favorite way of transportation for arriving at Plaza Mayor. If you are staying in Malaga center or near Maria Zambrano Station, this is the easiest way to arrive at the shopping center. There are trains every 20 minutes and you’ll be there in just 15 minutes (Line C1)!

In 2020 the international brand McArthur Glen opened the new luxury area of Playa Mayor to continue shaping the concept of destination shopping for their local communities and their international visitors.
