Malaga Airport or Costa del Sol Airport is the most important airport in the Autonomous Region of Andalusia. It’s the fourth biggest airport in Spain (after Madrid, Barcelona and Valencia)

1. WHERE IS MALAGA AIRPORT LOCATED?
It is located 8 km (5 miles) southwest of Malaga, specifically at Av. del Comandante García Morato, s/n, 29004, Málaga.
The airport is connected with the city of Malaga by motorway but there are another ways to arrive to the city that we’ll show you later.
The city center is at a distance of 8 km and Torremolinos is at 5 km.

2. HOW TO GET TO AND FROM MALAGA AIRPORT?
There are different ways to get to Costa del Sol Airport. It's very easy to get there as you can use different types of transport, both public or private.
???? BUS
You can get a bus to Malaga Airport from different locations all over Costa del Sol. There are a few lines and the most important ones are:
- Express line: this bus line connects AGP Airport to Malaga city center in just 15 minutes. Price: 4€ (only cash accepted)
- Intercity buses: they go to Marbella, Estepona, Nerja, Malaga and Alhaurín de la Torre.
- Long distances bus lines: Algeciras, Motril, Granada, or Seville.

????TRAIN
C1 train connects Malaga Airport to Malaga city center and other locations around Costa del Sol.
Its price can vary depending on the station you want to get off (from 1,60€ to 3,60€)

???? TAXI/CAR/TRANSFER
As mentioned before, the airport is located about 8km from Malaga city. It's connected to the section of the Mediterranean Highway A- 7 / E -15 MA-21 and MA-21 road (old N -340). You can use a taxi, car or private transfer if you want to use the highway.
3. HOW MANY TERMINALS ARE THERE?
The Airport currently has three terminals for regular passengers. In addition, it has a General Aviation Terminal (GA), which is used by passengers of private flights and leisure flights. Also, it counts with a Cargo Terminal.
The airport disposes of three access ways to the boarding gates (called 'Diques' or 'Muelles')

4. WHERE TO HIRE A CAR AT MALAGA AIRPORT?
The airport counts with a wide range of companies that are specialized in renting cars. There are around 20 car hire companies at Malaga, and 8 of them are located inside the airport. They are located at Terminal T2 and T3 on the ground floor.

5. AND, WHAT ABOUT MALAGA AIRPORT TRANSFERS?
Another great way to both arrive at and leave from the airport is using a private transfer service. It assures you will arrive at your destination without any inconveniences and on time.

7. WHERE IS THE PARKING?
Costa del Sol Airport has six parking areas where you can park your car for long or short term.
The parking areas have different characteristics each one: there is a VIP zone, a low-cost area...
